Description:
This will be the fifth year of local artist, Kathryn Moore, setting a fun challenge of identifying six paintings from a specific walking route. The aim is to encourage people to explore the landscape, finding the artist's viewpoint of locations depicted in six paintings. This year's walk is Walk 4 from 'Six Great Walks around Kington' booklet. (A free booklet available from outlets within Kington).
The painted images are available in a pack of postcards from the Festival office and Kat and Fiddle Studio, 37, Church Street, HR5 3BE for a small charge. The original paintings will also be on display in the studio window. Each participant, at their leisure, can enjoy the 4.5 mile walk, equipped with a pack of postcards, and/ or Ordnance Survey map/ mobile phone, to record the grid reference or What3words of the artist's viewpoint of the paintings. The challenge Start Date: 17th September.
