Description

Bring a packed lunch and snacks/drinks. Transport to and from start point by own car. Please park at Huntington Village Hall car park. Approaching from Kington along Mahollam Road, drive straight on at the crossroads in Huntington Village, and the Village Hall car park is on the right just past the Huntington Castle mound: what3words ///disco.closed.dwarf. From the car park, cross the road and walk down the lane opposite, past The Swan Pub to the church. Allow yourself 5-10 minutes to park and walk to the church.

Tea and coffee provided at start, lunchtime and finish. Lunch in Colva church (not provided).

A journey through rugged landscapes and along tranquil paths, we walk in the footsteps of pilgrims, reflecting on the history of pilgrimage and what it can offer the contemporary traveller. Two small, ‘secret’ churches are visited, St Thomas A Becket, Huntington, hidden among the lanes of Herefordshire, and St David, Colva, whose 13c architecture should not be missed.
