About Kington Walks and Kington Walking Festival

To promote sustainable tourism and to help to preserve Kington's unique atmosphere, in 2011 the Chamber of Trade, with support from Herefordshire Council and Kington Town Council, established Kington Walks. Kington Walks is a committee made up of enthusiastic walkers, representatives of local businesses and accommodation providers, which successfully applied for 'Walkers Are Welcome' status for the town in 2011, and which now brings you our fifth annual Walking Festival.

We are most grateful to all those who have sponsored individual walks and events this year and to all who have placed advertisements with us - in the brochure, on the website and in our forthcoming calendar.

• Kington Town Council
• Tarmac Ltd Contracting
• Red Kite Fostering
• Claridges
• Grandad's Shed
• Kington Chamber of Trade
• The Grapevine

• We would like to thank John Richardson of The Burton Hotel, Kington who has lent us a room for all our committee meetings. Our Kington Walks office during the festival will be based at the Burton where you will be able to buy last minute tickets during the festival days and get up to date information about anything to do with Kington Walks, or just drop in to say hello and for a chat.

• Our thanks to Kington Tourist Information Office who help us with ticket sales leading up to the festival and answering queries during the year.

• We would also like to say a big thank you to Marcus Higham who has done the design work for the brochure this year.
